Overview
Sandakphu, around 11,930 ft, is the highest peak in West Bengal and lies near the India–Nepal border. This trek moves through classic Singalila-region stops and is known for Himalayan panoramas, including the famous Sleeping Buddha range and views toward Kanchenjunga and Everest on clear days.
The journey follows Maneybhanjang, Tumling, Kalipokhri, Sandakhphu and Srikhola before returning toward NJP / Bagdogra.
Itinerary
Arrival at NJP / Bagdogra and transfer toward Maneybhanjang, the traditional gateway to the Sandakphu trail.
Proceed from Maneybhanjang toward Tumling through the Singalila route and settle in for the night.
Continue the mountain route from Tumling to Kalipokhri / Kala Pokhri with scenic Himalayan views.
Trek toward Sandakhphu, the highest point of West Bengal, with time for sunset and mountain views.
Descend from Sandakhphu toward Srikhola through forested mountain trails.
Return transfer toward NJP / Bagdogra Airport and conclude the trip.
